Bolivia looking at potential ethanol blending with help of neighbors

In Bolivia, Prensa Latina reports biofuel experts from the US, Argentina and Paraguay are helping to inform Bolivia’s future action plan regarding blending anhydrous ethanol in an effort to reduce the importation of 20% of the country’s fossil fuel demand. The government and private sector are negotiating to find a solution by year’s end. There is interest in investing ethanol dehydration plants to supply a potential blending policy, but it’s unclear if it would be voluntary or a mandate.
